The SALESIAN PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT OFFICE (SPDO) is based in Lansdowne, Cape Town and is an agency of the AFM Province with responsibility for the development
of its projects.
|
We help to research and facilitate the launch of new projects in the AFM province, under the direction of the Provincial Council and with the help of the Youth Pastoral Team(YPT). Through research, planning, fundraising, coordination, networking, monitoring and the evaluation of its activities, we strive to assist the province to become more effective and sustainable in its project and pastoral efforts on behalf of young people.

Who we are |

- Father Eddie O'Neill is our Director. He is also the Chairman of the
Salesian Office Management Committee. He completed his first term,
2002-2006, and was re-elected for a second term. In addition to his work at
the SPDO, he is the Vicar for Property and Development for the Archdiocese
of Cape Town and lectures in Canon Law at the St Augustine University in

- Yolanda Timm: Yolanda is a graduate of our YES project in the Salesian
Institute and then joined the SPDO team. She is the friendly face and voice
of the SPD Office! As our Fundraising Assistant, she looks after relationships with our donors, sends them regular reports and makes sure that projects implement the activities which they had described in their requests for funding. Click here to email Yolanda

- Liz Howes is our accountant and does a great job keeping track of all
incoming and outgoing funds, as well as making sure that all our funds are
audited annually and reports sent to funders, donors and the Financial
